I felt like I was reading a hardcore fantasy romance after ages..and one with a possible love triangle at that! I enjoyed the first book from this trilogy, but I dont think its one of my favorites. It was fast paced, romantic and very entertaining though.
This story is the Beauty and Beast retelling, but with a lot of twists to the original storyline. I really liked the touches to Beauty's personality, someone who is courageous and an absolute badass. Someone who has cerebral palsy but doesnt let it determine who she is and what she can do, and I fell in love with Harper because of that.
I really liked Rhen and Grey and the supporting characters too, and I'm very curious to read the second book, because I think there will be a lot more of Grey's POV in the second book and I certainly want to know what is going on in his mind.
Its too bad that I need to wait until next year for the second book :)
