The Bootlegger by Clive Cussler, Justin Scott

3.0

This was my first Clive Cussler book. I enjoyed it. It was very fast paced and kept my interest. There did seem to be a bit of jargon through the book that I'm not that familiar with but I attested it to the time the book was supposed to take place in as well as I am not very well versed in nautical and gangster language. Lol. Overall I enjoyed it. I did not realize it was part of a series and once I got it home I was worried I would be a bit lost in the book. But that did not happen. I was able to figure out who was who and it seemed reading the earlier ones did not matter, which I liked. I will admit I was browsing in the library and saw the vivid cover and picked it solely for that reason. Yes. I judged a book by it's cover. But this was a pleasant surprise and I do like the writing style and genre of adventure. I will be reading more of Cussler's books in the future.
