5 freaking star read.

from the beginning i was so downbad for our main character dex since the beginning let me tell you why. he’s a single grumpy dad but has the biggest heart for his daughters. he’ll do anything for his daughters best believe it.

and then we have winnie. she is the sweetest and bubbliest (that’s probably not a word) character you will ever met.

let me sell you on some tropes: grumpy x sunshine, age gap, mean to everyone but her and his girls, neighbors w/ benefits

instantly i had the biggest connection to these characters; by default dex is hot (HES A FIREFIGHTER.) (and he can sew.) and winnie i would love to be her friend like i connected with her so deep because she falls in love so easily and i felt that.

the side characters? yes. hallie and luna are the daughters i want to have. like they aren’t your annoying little kids they are so mature for their ages and i would happily be their best friend and babysit. ALSO ellie omg i loved her. and every family member i could go on for days so ima start wrapping this up.

the smutt was so good. like i needed to take a breather. every smutt scene put alot of my past read smutty scenes to shame.

i never wanted to put this book down and if you ask me to talk about it you’ll regret it because i truly loved this book and needed a pick me up. OH AND THE QUOTES AND THAT ENDING. THEM LAST TWO CHAPTERS. honey i want a love like this one. <3
