The abuse/assault scenes in this book are super heavy-handed, but honestly, it's very real. Definitely would not recommend this book (or many of Hobbs' others, honestly) if you're a victim of any kind of assault who might be triggered by graphic scenes. It just hits too close to home.

Liveship Traders might be my favorite trilogy of the whole series. I may re-read the rest starting from book one, but this one left one of the biggest impressions on me. It's far and away better than the Rain Wild Chronicles overall, though I do still prefer the world-building and history we got in the Chronicles.
