Christmas on Firefly Hill by Garrett Leigh

3.0

This was mostly just an okay read for me. Logan, single, divorcee father, meets Remy at a festival where there’s instant sparks and chemistry. They share one amazing kiss before separating. Through fate, Remy moves into the workshop Logan’s uncle owns up the hill from his own home. The sparks fly when they reunite. While their love story was sweet (Remy calls Logan, Papa, which while it shouldn’t work … it definitely does lol) I found myself a bit bored? This should’ve been a quick read but it dragged at parts for me. I loved the hurt/comfort parts but I think it just needed a bit more drama? Not a break up but idk some angst! I did like them together though even though I found Remy wildly more interesting than Logan.

Was it steamy? Yeah! And sweet. But I wouldn’t classify this as a holiday romance. The holiday is definitely at the background here. Their love story just happens to HAPPEN at the holidays. It’s sprinkled throughout but meh. I think maybe this book suffered from being too short? Things could’ve been expanded on had it been 20k words longer.

Also fuck you Leigh for all the Locke teases and then dipping out on saying who was with him!!!!!! I’ve been obsessed with Locke since his intro in Rebels MC. And I know I probably sound quite insane but if I don’t get Locke/Nash/Orla then what even was the point.
