The Seventh Veil of Salome by Silvia Moreno-Garcia
2.0
Unfortunately devoid of the erotica of Strauss’s iconic score, as well as (most of) the fascinating theme of corrupted desire Wilde lays out in his play. Would have loved more dirt in this piece, which merely touched on pulp fiction tropes without actually really reveling in them, the way Wilde reveled in the psychosexual drama in his retelling of Salome’s story.
