Too apologetic to colonial powers like the fire nation. Yeah your family has been here for generations and they “worked hard” to get to where they are, but what circumstances led them there? At what expense? Also, Katara and Aang’s relationship is cringe. There were too many “no sweetie this isn’t you” moments from Katara, and Aang considered a two-state solution after realizing his kids would be inter-“racial.” Oh and Avatar Roku advocates for the death of his grandson for peace.
