Don't Mess with Texas by Christie Craig
3.0
Grade B-
3.5*
This is an enjoyable book, even if there's nothing especially unique about it. It's a predictable romance and even as the characters tell themselves they need to back off or stop the relationship "before they fall in love,' the reader is never in doubt of the eventual end. What makes it enjoyable is the light touch of the writer, the decent suspense plot, and solid characters. The book has a few humorous moments, but thankfully doesn't digress into too much silliness.
Recommended for those who enjoy light contemporary romantic suspense with a dash of humor.
