I have had this book for over 3 years. All it took for me to finally read it was me getting sick of looking at it on my tbr shelf. My expectations were really low going into so I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this doesn't suck. I didn't fall in love with it or anything but it wasn't too bad.
The first half of this book is quite slow and boring and it definitely took me a while to get into the story. I didn't find the characters very likeable and I definitely did not like the romance aspect of this book. The story is also kind of predictable and it's annoying when the characters don't realise some very obvious things.
However, this book gets better as it progresses and the plot becomes more interesting. I wouldn't say I'm excited to read the sequel but I liked this enough that I will read it.
