Employing Patience by Saxon James

4.0

I've been looking forward to this one since book 1, I think, and it didn't disappoint. Art and Joey's relationship is really fun to read about (so much banter and flirting!) but also super sweet. I love that the author took her time with them, and that the moments leading up to the present were in the beginning of the book instead of in flashbacks. I was also pleasantly surprised with how serious Joey's was about what he wanted, even as he was a little confused about his feelings.

Art... he took his time to figure things out, but it happened naturally. And even though he didn't have a tragic past that made him jaded about relationships (refreshing, for sure), it made sense for someone so loving to be wary of getting hurt.

This is a mostly angst-free book with two very likable protagonists and a great group of friends. I would've had a bit less sex in it, but that's just 'cause my limit seems to be two scenes in most cases. Any after that I just skim (or skip). And I wish it hadn't given away so much about the next book. But overall, this was a great read.
