After reclaiming their crown, Rose and Wren are set to rule Eana together but while Rose is practical and setting up a royal tour to reunite with the people of Eana, Wren can’t move past the loss of Banba to the icy North and the sisters find themselves separated and on different adventures with the help of some of our favourite side characters of course.

This series is fast becoming my fav YA fantasy series, the tension, the plot twists, the banter, the betrayals - all of it is perfectly blended to keep you hooked and on the edge of your seat.

I had also forgotten quite how funny and quick witted Wren was and that really added some much needed levity to the tension.

I honestly think this series is flawless. It’s rare to find a dual/multi PoV book where you don’t dislike one of the characters but while both sisters have questionable moments (and let’s face it, who doesn’t), they are both deeply caring at the heart of it and I really enjoyed reading both perspectives.
