This was my first ever Gaiman. I spent most of it suspended in a state of surreal bafflement. I think, and I may be wrong, but I thiiiiink that means that I did it "right".

There isn't much I can say for certain about the story, except I absolutely detest Ursula Monkton with a passion and the Hempstock women flippantly chuck out nuggets of wisdom like it's nothing. Most of the plot and finer points of the book were adorably nonsensical in that dreamlike way that you don't question at the time but also do not exactly understand. Either way, I very much appreciated the vibes and am glad I was along for the ride.

PS: I recommend the audiobook. Big fan of authors narrating their own books and Gaiman did a wonderful job in this.
