Thank you to Berkley Romance and PRHA for the advanced reader/listener copy of this book!
Fresh from a divorce and still grieving the loss of her mother, Michelle moves from Seattle to Copper Run Vermont to temporarily run the B&B her parent’s have managed for the past few years. However, the skills required to successfully run the inn are not coming easily for Michelle. Fortunately, her neighbor Cliff is ready to take on the challenge and help her succeed. Cliff is a single dad, charming, capable, and always around when Michelle needs some help. Despite their mutual attraction, Michelle knows her stay is temporary. And after her disastrous marriage, all she wants to do is return to life in Seattle.
This is a long romance, coming in just a few pages shy of 500, yet it never felt too long! The slow-burn romance was believable and engaging, the characters were fun and dynamic, and the picture-perfect fall setting felt like I was reading a romance set in Stars Hollow. Great narration made it a fun listening experience, and I am hopeful we will get future books set in Copper Run!
