Back to Panem! I took my time reading this one. The writing style was easy to digest. The story kept drawing me in and making me think about it even when I wasn't reading. It was a different experience since I already had a good idea of what was going to happen. I didn't connect to the characters as much as I did in the original trilogy, probably for that reason as well.
I was also really confused by the reappearance of certain characters in a different context. It made me rethink my previous knowledge of them in a way trying to fit the pieces together for continuity. And maybe I'm remembering things wrong but it wasn't really seamless. I also wonder if the author was influenced by the portrayal of the characters in the movies.
