Who Done It? by Jon Scieszka

1.0

Not to sound too reminiscent of the esteemed editor Herman Mildew himself, but this book needs some massive cuts. The alibis were incredibly repetitive, and not nearly as funny or clever as the authors thought they were. I also am not sure of who the intended audience is - most of the supposed “humor” was juvenile riffs on how fat and stinky Mildew was (surely not in any way appealing to adult readers), but then one of the alibis featured Mildew telling the female narrator to sit on his face! Overall, I have no clue what this book was trying to accomplish, but unless it was to irritate me, I’m certain it didn’t achieve it.
