I was pleasantly surprised by this book, I read a lot of enemies to lovers romantasies, so I was worried this would feel redundant. It didn’t. I loved the slow burn and the tension, with only one spicy scene. This was almost more rivals to lovers, but I genuinely loved the characters. Our FMC has a really cool backstory, and I adored the found family with Kipp and Cal. I have already started book 2.
