Grave Beginnings by R.R. Virdi

5.0

I know that this shows as 5 stars, but it is more of 4 & 1/2. This is not a perfect book, but this is the closest thing that I have read in a while the nears perfection.
The Main Character? My kind of humor and saracasm with a mixture of world-building that is not shoved down your throat.
The Side Kick? Comes in at a good time in the story and adds to the world building and story.
I enjoy the mythology of this world and the way things worked. The only caviat, which loses the half a star, is that there is a couple of moments of Deus Ex Machina that made things happen a bit too convenient. Other than those couple of moments, I enjoyed this enough to continue into the next the next in the series.
