Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare

I.... I.... Am not prepared to fall in love I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS BOOK I-

i honestly at my hate-phase for shadowhunter world, bcs the magic concept is one of the best out there but the plot is always come cheap--it is always executed bad and it makes me sad, such a loss for a great potential. But oh my god, oh my god this book....

Okaay, it is not the best out there, it still has a little off in some place, and i really hate that they link back the entire thing of what happened right after the climax and honestly?? It's such a waste of time i swear and we really don't need to sit through five page repeating the whole things, the pace is almost terrible and i swear the author don't need to feature all the past character if they really don't have relation to the plot (esp jace and clary, i have enough of them)

BUT

oh my god, i never really had fictional crush despite all the book that i've been read in my life but Julian.... Blackthorn... Julian Blackthorn... I love him so much you won't understand, he's literally the man i dreamed of and i never once find someone like him in any contemporary works, only in this book, and he has an equal love interest to his traits and it's so good, the chemistry, their interactions, I WISH I WAS EMMA-- but Emma herself is such a good protagonist and 100 times better than clary, i love the action scenes she's in, i love the fact that she's such a well rounded character. And I LOVE THE BLACKTHORN FAMILY i love all the main characters, even cristina that i thought i would never care about this character, but i love her too. And the most important thing, i can finally feel the magical setting, it was the feel that mortal instrument failed to brought. They way it describe magic it so engaging i can feel the pain, the torture behind the dark yet so beautiful shadowhunter world. For the first time ever i want to live there.

The book is actually 4,5 ★ but imma give it 5★ only bcs it has Julian Blackthorn
