All I remember is thinking Hawthorne was gay, but he's actually actively homophobic. That was kinda funny (I'm bi don't come after me.) I really like the narrative tool of authors putting themselves into a story. It may be a cheap Sherlock dupe, but it is MY cheap Sherlock dupe and you can't take that away from me.
