Once again, Francine Rivers has completely captivated me with such deep and lifelike characters, as well as a compelling plot I just need to see the conclusion to! This book was incredibly well written, so much love and care was clearly put into it, and I may be a little biased with it, but few books feature my hometown so I was very excited for that.
As someone living far from home, and who has followed her husband to maybe countries across the world, I could relate to a lot of the struggles and hardships Marta had.
10/10, I bought it for my mom when I was only halfway through, and now that I've finished I might need to buy her the second one, too, so she isn't mad when she's left on a cliffhanger!
