Oedipus Rex by Sophocles

The very definition of a tragedy and the perfect example of catharsis and empathy. Had to read it high school and college, but apart from my experiences with it in an academic setting, I thought it had great characters, a compelling plot, an intriguing setting, lovely style, and plenty of theme for days.
