Was this the worst book I have ever read? No. But to say that it was good in any capacity would be a lie. As someone who recently finished high school, and have dealt with some of the same issues I found this work of fiction to be exactly what the "SAY NO TO DRUGS" people fantasize when they think of addicts. While there where some human moments it was completely overshadowed by the sheer amount of inaccuracies and poor writing. Whether it be the time it was written in or the bias of the author, this was profoundly disappointing and reached none of its intended goal. I don't understand how this was ever critically acclaimed if only by Reagan era wine moms who thought that if their kid smoked pot, they where going to end up as a heroin addict. I give it 1 star because i genuinely laughed at moments because it was so over the top dramatic, like LSD laced peanut brittle has got to be one of the funniest things ever!
