Oh I didn't like this. Everything that I liked about the first book- the simplicity, the banter, the romance- just wasn't in this addition.
Not that it was bad. I'm actually certain there are many readers who preferred this to the first book. But it felt heavy and serious for no reason. Overly explanative. And now everyone needs a romance? All the main characters, side characters, everyone? No. Just no.
Not sure if I'll continue with the series. Seems to be a theme this year.
