The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams

3.0

“Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.”

This story is about Arthur Dent who was taken by his alien friend to space when aliens blew up earth to make a superhighway in the galaxy. The said alien friend is also writing the book The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Rating: ★★★

I honestly think that this is the funniest book I've read in my like. I was cackling out loud. Guess what? I DNF'd this book but I'm still giving it a three stars. I have finished the first two books in this huge 5-volume edition.

The things that I DID NOT like
Okay this is where we go down.

The setting
I have never been that much fan of the sci-fi genre but I still gave this book a try. There was too much going on. There were too many words, too many terms, too many names. I could not keep up with it.

The story
I thought that this book would focus more on Arthur Dent as he explored space, but we got different point of views from other characters. I guess I am not that invested in the others.

In sum:
If you want a good time, go grab this.
