A Need So Beautiful by Suzanne Young

3.0

I did not like this book, nor did I think it was as great as everyone says it is. I had a problem with the pacing, where everything felt like a straight line with some really small bumps for the action parts. I had a problem with how the story didn't really evolve. Yes she's a forgotten, then she's deciding whether or not to die. Then she decides. The end. I don't know how to describe it but the ending was obviously lame and except for one part, it was really disappointing to me. I did not like the fact that this book reads like a message saying that you have no say in your destiny. I just didn't like it at all. I'm so mad at the end, at the middle, and everything! Young shows she's a great writer and the storyline (i think) was a original, but it feels like she could have done so much more. It's a lot like Before I Fall. Except here, I'm left feeling frustrated because nothing real happened. Maybe I'm not explaining it right. Or maybe I'm just pissed off the young love dies. And the last 2 pages? Is that charlotte? God I wish and hope it was. Probably some other poor character that gets to die.

If this is charlotte, at the end, then I will actually read the next novel in hopes that the story improves. I really want it to be charlotte, sooo madly.
