I really loved this book. The other reviews word what I didn't like abt the writing so I'm going to rant. I found Rukshsana's friends/gf so infuriating. Like how much do you need to tell them that they should know that literally being stuck in a completely different country and being forced to get married to a man is like HORRIBLE. I have no idea how you are so close to someone, and they do not understand the gravity of her situation.
I also understand that its hard to be with someone who isn't out but why not just date a girl that is already out on Ariana's part? You are literally risking her safety, hell someone she knew ACTCUALLY saw her and Ariana displaying PDA. (Thank god he didn't tell anyone tho) Her and her friends centered Ariana's feelings in their relationship, and I 100% know that relates to their white lense. I'm glad that all of this was discussed but I couldn't find myself liking her friends or Ariana after all the shit she put up with, even without her telling them the full story. Amazing book though, but I found myself wanting Rukshsana to NOT end up with Ariana (which I don't think should have happened since like they're the main couple).
