First read in 2021, reread in 2022 in preparation for the sequel.
Becky Chambers' books are my ultimate comfort reads. I remember that the whole theme of questioning once purpose and being stuck in daily routines really hit a nerve the first time I read it. Loved the two main characters, especially mosscap the robot. I loved their interactions and them slowly figuring out how they both fit together. Mosscap was hilarious too.
Second reread in 2024: still feels like a hug and a warm cup of tea. The dedication to "anybody who could use a break" pretty much describes this book perfectly
