It's a 3.5, but I'm rounding it down because od 2 things:
- I was not thrilled with the first 2 books and somehow no matter how much better this book was, it's being pulled down by the others
- Because of this (dierctly taken from Clare's website) : "You can read TMI first, or The Infernal Devices first. It doesn't matter. In an ideal world, I generally recommend you read Clockwork Angel and the others between City of Glass and City of Fallen Angels, as it flows with the way the characters from one series connect to the characters in the next, but neither series spoils the other and it genuinely doesn't matter which you read first." BULLSHIT. But because I naively believed that, I read TMI first. Anyone with a brain would've figured out who Brother Zachariah was as soon as they started reading Clockwork Princess. So yeah, Jem's fate was spoiled by TMI and it took away from my reading experience.
