I’m writing this about 30 seconds after reading the last page of this book, with tears in my eyes. This book was absolutely phenomenal beyond words. I thought the rest of the series was incredible, but this one was just unbelievable. I don’t quite know how to process everything I’m feeling after reading it — Nesta and her Valkyries inspired me to my core, and the way SJM crafted her story through this series in sane. I didn’t think I’d even enjoy ACOTAR since I haven’t read fantasy in 10 years, but this series has brought some magical, fantastical, dreamer part of me back to life that I haven’t felt since being in the Hunger Games or Harry Potter fandoms as a kid — and I am so thankful for that. I forgot that books could make you feel like this. I would give this a hundred stars if I could.
