I was there for the majority of this book, albeit with morals left by the wayside, but I cannot fathom why Tiernan would go for Kaleb since he’s such a prick.

In the latter parts of the book, Douglas goes out of her way to explain that Kaleb comprehends and understands other people entirely and just chooses to ignore them and lashes out, destroying things Tiernan cares about and not just answering her questions. Also he did sexually assault her. More than once. Didn’t enjoy that.

That said, thoroughly enjoyed the relationships that developed with Noah and Jake. Neither were good romantic partners but they end up as well fleshed out characters in a relatable, found-family kind of way.
