The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot

5.0

This is a book I often revisit, the journalistic storytelling was done wonderfully, it read like a story but without excessive details. It gives a very real perspective of how the American medical system treated (arguably still treats based on the end) black people, explored the families perspective as well as the scientific perspective, and provides the reader with a heavy question to answer at the end.
After finishing this book, you’ll feel far more educated and probably a little bit angry.
