The Silver Chair by C.S. Lewis
3.0

Review Written in 2014: This was my least favorite of the Chronicles of Narnia books. It felt predictable for me, and I just wanted to finish it. I did, however, love the underlying theme demonstrated by Jill Pole that even if we don't follow God's plan or instructions perfectly, His planned outcome is still the one that will prevail. It was great to learn at the end of the story that Aslan had appeared to King Caspian early in his journey to tell him that he would meet his son back in Narnia if he turned around immediately. Aslan knew that Eustace and Jill would be successful in their mission, despite the mistakes they had made along the way.
