2.25
2.5 maybe? Maybe 2? If I think hard about the good things, it could go up to a 3, but if I think about the bad things it could go to a 2. This is definitely romantasy for primarily romance readers, not romantasy for primarily fantasy readers as the world building felt lacking.
I was going to write more thoughts but I couldn't be bothered because I realised that I literally didn't care about this book much aside from Carrion Swift. These two (point five? probably just two) stars are mostly for him and that I did think a couple of the interactions between the main couple were kinda cute (but they were otherwise insufferable and fell into the "man does bare minimum and expects praise" trope).
