As a fan of the movie, I was scared I wouldn’t love the book as much and everything would be too predictable. I was pleasantly surprised at how wrong I was and how much the book differs from the movie in story direction & exploration of all the characters. Each character has their own motivation and journey to go on. Jones does an excellent job of showing, not telling. While Howl and Sophie aren’t the main protagonists for the next entry, I can’t help but find myself invested in the world of Ingary!
