The Art of Falling in Love with Your Grumpy Neighbor by Anne Kemp

4.0

This was a sweet and honest story about two people who at a point in their lives were atracted to each other. But before they did anything regarding that attraction life kind of happened and some bad events took place. These events, mainly on Austin's part made him be a completly different person. Someone he didn't even recognised, but could't help but be.
If I must be really honest I really did not like Austin in the beggining. I know he was supposed to be a grump (that was kind of the point, and hey.. I love this troupe), but he was not only grumpy but also extremelly impolite and rude. I get it, sometimes life can get so in our way and change our expectations so profundly that our entire self gets overwelmed and destroyed. And maybe this was what led me to give him a chance and expect him to be better.
And I'm glad I did. Sometimes all it takes is one chance and opportunity (besides all hard work).
Bex knew Austin was in a bad place, but coulnd't help being attracted to him. But all that grumpiness almost pushed her away. But she maintained her effort and with time is was so worth it. She could see behing all the pain and see the real him. And when he opened up.. well, he was so worth it!

I really enjoyed this story and the character developement. And the other characters, as expected, of course!
