The Fire Witness by Lars Kepler

4.0

Joona Linna is on leave and under an internal investigation for a supposed infraction. He is investing a disturbing personal matter when he is called in as an observer to a homicide. Joona soon finds himself deep into the case....we know he’s not capable of just observing.

The Fire Witness is the third installment in this series. So far, I’ve found these books unputdownable. Short chapters keep you turning the pages as action unfolds on every page. These books move at such a fast pace. While I did guess the culprit, there are quite a few side plots that keep the reader guessing.

The third book is when we finally get more of a peek into Joona’s personal life, and the details are fascinating. I love Joona as a character, but it does get annoying when everyone fawns over him. Except for the detective Joona is “observing,” he is not a fan
