What I'm trying to reckon with while navigating the world of contemporary poetry is the balance between relatability and innovative writing.
There is only one that is currently being valued by the mass audience, and I think that is part of the reason that I come off as so unfeeling in a lot of my reviews.
Sometimes, even though it speaks to you, it doesn't mean that what it is saying is completely novel or stimulating.
