This book is PHENOMENAL!
Wowww. like WOW. This book winds queerness, womanhood, friendships, love, spirituality, and family so beautifully it's seriously the best memoir I've ever read. parts of Lamya's story resonated deeply with me & others parts were completely eye-opening and honestly dispelled narratives I had held — especially around Islam & the stories of the Quran. It's so brilliant how Lamya connects different surahs to different periods in her own life, and such a fresh take in the memoir scene. I literally learned so much about myself and the world in this damn story – ready to reread.
Anywaysssss, I actually cannot recommend this book enough – I will literally buy you a copy & send it to your house.
