Aru Shah and the Song of Death
by Roshani Chokshi
I liked this one even more than the first one!
Brynne and Aiden were great additions to the squad, adding their own unique personalities, skills, and experiences. Brynne especially was a fun character to add in as she and Aru would bang heads a lot. These conflicts were great opportunities for the characters to explore their own insecurities but also grow to understand each other and how much they can actually work together.
Aiden's relationship with his mom was something I really enjoyed seeing, and that a lot of kids might relate to. He feels responsible for his mother being unhappy, but the way Roshani Chokshi explored that almost brought tears to my eyes
