Reel Love by Julie A. Richman

4.0

I have only read one other book from Julie A. Richman and I loved it so I just had to read Reel Love when I was offered the chance to review it.

This book is all about Finn and Frankie, Frankie is an author, her latest book went through the roof in sales, everyone has read it and so it seemed like a no brainer to say yes when offered to have the book into a movie. She had conditions though, she wanted to do the casting for the characters.

Finn walks in to do his audition and Frankie just can’t take her eyes off him, he is everything she had envisioned her male character to be. It’s in the bag for Finn, or is it?

There are others vying for the role, including a proper celebrity in the form of Maverick Dailey, who would be the producers choice as it will make the movie huge.

I really liked this storyline, an author writing about an author sounds kind of weird but let’s face it, the author knows how she is thinking as she is in the same vocation. The chemistry between Finn and Frankie was sizzling, you could see the sparks flying but then, they both have motives for flirting, Frankie wants her lead to be just as she pictured in her mind, Finn wants the role. It seems like a battle of the hearts for them both.

Overall, I really enjoyed the book, it was well written and fast paced and kept me entertained.
