Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare
5.0

With every book series I have ever read so far the second book has been way better than the first. Knowing this, I feared that "Clockwork Prince" may be the one to betray me since by the end of the first book in the Infernal Devices Trilogy I hadn't felt any attachment to the characters.

And yet somehow, as if by magic, the story and the characters now seem so much more than fiction. Cassandra Clare has managed to transform them from these cliche unfinished prototypes to deep complicated personnas, each with their own secret.

Touching upon secrets, we get a glimpse at the unknown and I am very pleased that some of the gnawing questions, which have been buzzing around in my brain are now answered.

There isn't much more I could possibly say apart from mentioning that this felt so much more fast paced and just complete in general.

Oh and prepare yourself for some pain induced by the story. What Cassandra Clare is doing and how she plans to set everything up will no doubt rip my heart apart, deep inside I already know what is going to happen and yet my brain wants to hope for some other way.
