It's not your traditional omegaverse book, but I LOVED IT! I listened to the audiobook over a few days - it was really easy to get absorbed in this one. While there were no pack elements in this book (no RH), it is set in the modern world in which packs historically were a thing but now alphas and omegas are rare and just have normal relationships. The workplace romance was a nice spin on an omegaverse book, and I appreciated how the fake dating played out throughout the story. It has always irked me in omegaverse books that the omegas traditionally do not work, so this was a nice take that made the storyline seem more real (heat leave made so much sense to me lol).
The spice was 🔥🥵 starting around 35% in, I would rank this a 4.5/5 spice level with multiple descriptive sex scenes with knotting. Nothing too kinky besides🪢😉
