Back in the Game: A Stardust, Texas Novel by Lori Wilde

5.0

I was provided a copy of this book by the author for the purpose of an honest review and was not compensated in any way.

I received a paperback copy of this book and I can picture having my copy get a very well read look to it. Now that Spring training is underway, what a perfect time to read about Rowdy and Breeanne. I hope you’ll find that you’ll also want to read this book again and why not read it in October when baseball starts to wind down. Had to take my dad to a medical appointment and got mad that they had a TV on and disappointed it wasn’t on mute because I didn’t want anything to disrupt my reading experience. At that point, I wished that I had an audio version so I could put earplugs in and just concentrate on the book.

One thing that I loved about this book was that neither of our two main characters were perfect. Due to circumstances beyond their control, they have been changed physically that affect them emotionally. But that doesn’t stop them from making a connection. It’s a book that shows that you don’t have to be “picture perfect” to fall in love.

One thing I love about this author is that nothing is complete until the book is over – and no cheating or skipping to the end. You don’t want to miss anything good. If you’ve never read this author before - what a great way to “cut your teeth”. Maybe you’ve read her work before but this time she puts in a special piece of furniture and you just have to keep reading to find out what this has to do with our main characters. This book is the first in a new series and I can’t wait until the next book and to see if this piece of furniture makes any further appearances. The only bad news at this time is that I couldn’t find a title or when the book is coming out.
