Wow, that was a lot more violent than I was expecting. Like, I get it: Jafar was never going to be a kind and just ruler, but to just flat out push the Sultan off a balcony to his death? Stone cold. Straight up murdered beloved character The Magic Carpet. There was a distinct lack of Iago (cuz he was also murdered, but off screen). Some pretty gore-y descriptions in there, too.
I didn't care for the Genie's back story. And I don't know if it was just the audiobook narrator or what, but he did not have the same charm as the OG (Original Genie).
I've only read 2 of the Twisted Tales so far but I think this is probably one of the weaker ones.
