The Secret History by Donna Tartt

5.0

This is one of the best books I have ever had the pleasure of reading. I love well-done unreliable narrators, and Richard Papen is one of the best I've ever come across. This story gets a lot of hype and it deserves ever bit of it and more. The story is wildly fascinating. The first line reeled me right in, as it has so many since it first debuted: The snow in the mountains was melting and Bunny had been dead for several weeks before we came to understand the gravity of our situation." My heart is broken in the best of ways.
