The Art of Theft by Sherry Thomas

4.0

Sherry Thomas is moving quickly beyond the traditional Holmesian canon into something quite different and her own. There are a lot of layers to this story and ongoing arcs for characters major and minor as well as some frank discourse about the geopolitics of Victorian England of the sort that rarely comes up in other Holmes stories. Not to mention just a ripping good heist sequence and some long-simmering lust.
