This book was cute and compelling. It wrapped a whimsical magic around the horrors that befall so many in everyday life. I found the dual plot lines interesting and wasn't confused while reading them (something that is often the case for me and time jumps). Not a full 5 stars because I was hoping for a certain je ne sait quoi that I felt was never fully delivered but I loved Madam Boden.
