All About Love: New Visions by bell hooks

slow-paced

2.5

This book was a very weird read for me. I really enjoyed the chapter about childhood and parent-child love, I felt like it made some very good points.

The rest of the book? I don't know how to explain my experience reading this other than it felt like most sentences on any page could be placed in any other chapter, on any other page and they would fit just as well. It felt like a bunch of general sentences about love that were put on page to make the word count.

I've seen this book recommended a lot, so I guess I'm in the minority, but I didn't feel like I gained anything from reading it.
