Too predictable for me (or maybe I’ve read too many Agatha Christie books because I’m well over 40 books at this point). The plot wasn’t subtle but the writing was excellent. Christie does a great job of characters even in her short stories.

As a note this is part of a Poirot short story collection but does not contain Poirot and is standalone.
