To me, this felt like a unique story. I have no idea which fairytale this is based on (might not have remembered it). Because of this, I found it really good. The characters were great, their flaws where great,
and the fact that Javan has this ‘clear moment of understanding’ was well put together.
It even made me almost cry while reading it on the train. And let’s not forget… the cover is stunning.

I also liked the overlay with the previous books, such as seeing Ari at the end of the book and Hansel and Gretel quickly popping in.

I’m glad I kept on reading even after I wasn’t that into the first book. Definitely an upgrade form the first in the Ravenspire Series.
